Newsletters for multi-site bloggers

Your blog can write its own newsletter.

Sendero turns your recent posts into a finished draft and waits for your review. One place to run newsletters across every site you publish.

Sendero is currently private and invite-only.

What it does

Features

One login, separate sites

Manage separate lists and sender profiles from a single account. Teammates can be restricted to only the sites they help run.

Automated draft roundups

Sendero gathers your recent posts into a clean draft with your titles and photos in place. Nothing leaves your outbox until you read and approve it.

Focused reader groups

Segment readers by interest and send to everyone or just selected groups. A reader belonging to several groups will still only get one email.

Clean list maintenance

Every email carries a single-click unsubscribe link. Bounced addresses and spam complaints get removed without you having to clean lists by hand.

Pre-send checks

See the exact recipient count and send a test to your own inbox before approving. You can rewrite the subject line or adjust the text anytime.

Pay for actual sends

You never face a monthly bill based on list size. You only pay for the messages you send.

How it works

How it works

  1. Publish your posts

Write on your blog as usual while Sendero tracks your newly published stories.

  2. Check your ready draft

Receive an email when your scheduled roundup draft is assembled and add an optional personal greeting.

  3. Approve the send

Review the draft and check the recipient count, then click approve when you are ready.

Roundups

Your blog writes the draft and waits.

On the schedule you choose, Sendero gathers the stories you published since your last email into a complete draft. The draft includes your titles and featured images, then pauses. Nothing sends to your audience until you open the draft and give approval.

Switching

Switching from Flodesk is clean and simple.

You can bring your subscriber groups and your opt-out history right over. Anyone who unsubscribed in the past stays excluded, so you never email someone by mistake. You can also upload a spreadsheet of contacts and place signup boxes on your sites to add new readers directly to the correct list.

Why we built it

We run several small blogs at Mochi-Zen alongside our social scheduler, Postero. We grew tired of logging into multiple services and paying monthly bills just to store contact names. We wanted our blogs to draft their own periodic newsletters without sending anything behind our backs. Sendero is that tool, built for our daily workflow.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can anyone sign up right now?

Not yet. Sendero is invite-only right now while we run our own sites and refine the experience.

Does Sendero ever send roundups without my permission?

No. Sendero prepares the draft on your schedule and alerts you by email, but it will never send until you open the draft and click approve.

Can I edit the draft before it goes out?

Yes. You can change the subject line, write a custom introduction, reorder the posts, or delete articles from that issue.

Can I personalize emails with subscriber names?

Yes. You can greet your readers by their first name in both the subject line and the email body.

What happens if a subscriber is in two different groups?

Even if someone belongs to multiple groups you are targeting, they receive only one copy of that email.
